I have 7 pairs of shoes with me in cardiff... i just counted... didnt think i had that many shoes... well.. like 3~4-ish are boots... ankley boots... i dont wear half of them... cos they hurt toooooooo muchhhhhhhhhh >_<...
had my first exam yesterday; maths prac... wasnt too bad.. its the easier exam out of the 2 maths exams i have. I think i did ok, well enough to pass the module.. i hope =P... some of the integration looked gross... so i skipped some.. the module is 70% of the module... and need 40% overall to pass... so yeah.. im too lazy to work out the minimum i needed to pass =P
Tomorrow is cosmos, i enjoy the topics in this module.. but i dont think its taught well... i have to memorise a bunch of equations cos its not in the formula book and the past papers aren't very generous when giving us equations. The thing with astronomy/astrophysics/cosmology (i honestly dont know the difference between the 3.. i just now its about things in space; but im very sure that none of this is astrology)... theres like several different units for distance (e.g. Km, pc, AU, etc....).... and different equations use different units!.. so i have to remember which units to use with which equation!! GAH!.... and im still unsure about the hole critical density thing.. i just know it determines if the universe is closed,flat or open. oh.. im still unsure where the hell they got the idea of dark energy from.. all i know is that it takes up around 75% of the universe and is the reason why the universe is expanding... (lol, im talking about dark energy as if its fact.. its not... its just a theory since we have yet to discover it, and theres a chance that it doesnt exist at all~~~)
*sigh* this is what happens when u spend too much time revising... physics has ended up in all my blogposts recently... well.. atleast im educating you lot =P... kind of...
when revising/researching physics on the internet, i waste alot of time reading topics which arent gonna be in my exam, i mean there vaguely about my topic since thats how i find them.. buts its not gonna be my exam!!... so instead if i stumble on anything interesting i'll bookmark it, and read it on a later date.. so yeah... currently a majority of my bookmarks are rather geeky looking...
hmm... u know i think i get in to phases where i find elaine annoying...cos its come again... shes my friend and all... but u can love someone yet find them annoying at the same time. example... she sometimes puts on a "cutesy" voice..or purposely talks with an overbite(thats how i describe it.. im not sure how to describe it but thats the best i can do)... grrr... i find it annoying when people put on cutesy voices randomly... whats the purpose of it?!... u just sound STUPID!!!
example 2.. i have empty terry chocolate wrappers in my bin... when she walked in to my room to tell me something.. i forgot what she wanted to tell me .. she then asked what was that in my bin?... like why are u interested in my rubbish?!?!... (note: shes from HK, doesnt know what a terrys chocolate orange is...).
example 3.. i think this is a kind of personality clash.. like im kind of easygoing, dont want to cause a fuss, as long as the other person is happy im not really fussed about my own well being. Elaine is more... "you can only do this whenever im comfortable with it", "u have to organise around my schedule, not the other way round". So basically the situation is like this.. since elaines window is single glazed, unlike the other windows; the landlord wants to replace it since its causing damp problems. So he was meant to do it during xmas; so before we left for xmas elaine moves all her stuff in to jess's room for the holiday. But cos it was christmas not many people are around to work, so the landlord couldnt do it during the holidays. So we rescheduled for the coming saturday for him to come fix it. Then yesterday.. elaine came to me and was like.. im gonna ring the landlord to tell him not to come this week and wait till easter to replace the window; her reason.. cos she has an exam on the 1st of February, hmmm.. which is 3 bloody weeks away!!.. her valid reason is that she'd need to move stuff around and clean stuff after the window is replaced and she wont have time for ding all of that. SERIOUSLY!! replacing a window will take like an hour... u'll only have to move half ur stuff to the other side of the room.. and replacing a window is not a messy job *sigh* making such a big fuss!! the whole thing will take like half a day!! bleh.. i told her my opinion.. but in the end its her room.. her window... her decision.
oh! we had loads of snow last nighttttttttttttttt... so yeah its was 12 in the evening and i joined keith and this housemate in the snowwwwwwwww... keith was throwing snowballs at my window!!... got back at 1 with wet hair.... -___-"~~~....

luckily he was theorist and not a experimentalist, though his friend who was a experimentalist would only consult him through the closed door of the lab due to fear that his presence would cause the apparatus to fall apart.. =P

Mohan Smells
I'VE FINISHED!! I'VE PRINTED OFF MY STUPID X RAYS LAB REPORT AND IM GONNA GIVE IT IN TOMORROW!! ALMOST A WEEK BEFORE THE DUE DATE! im such a nerd... =P... and i hate referencing... like they care anyway... i only did 8.. but i swear i used more.. but i can't be bothered to go find things again! and I dont have errors for a few of my values... cos i can't calculate them! and can't be bothered to see if it is possible... well i have some error in it anyway... bleh.. i can stop thinking about it now and get down to some proper revision! FINALLY!!
Anyway.. mohan got tagged by a random person.. and now she tagged me.. so here are my 7 random things
1) I like objects that have pictures of food on them, and if the food have faces on them I like them even more~~
2) I like eating fresh herbs, so basically leaves... coriander and sweet basil being my favourites
3) Apparently my indoor voice is the same as my outdoor voice... and i get even louder when i've got any alcohol in the system
4) I feel that that my taste in music is very varied, and i would advice everyone NOT to use shuffle on my itunes
5) I know very little about my family's history.. i only recently just found out that one of my uncles lost his leg during the war and he has a fake leg! (to be fair he lives in California and i've only visited him twice!)
6) I'm a tabs whore on firefox...i open pretty much open every link as a tab (i currently have 13 tabs open as i type this)
7) I had an unintentional habit of buying clothing that has mickey/minnie mouse on them... but now its become intentional since i noticed this~~

I should be in bed by now.. going back to cardiff tomorrow!.. dunno if im happy about it or not... im glad to get back, to see everyone again! and i dont have to see my sister anymore and make cups of tea for people! and i can get away from the distractions of having a busy family..... but.. when i get back its the realisation that have exams very soon.. and i've barely done any revision for it!!

It sounds like i've done no work during the holidays.. but thats a LIE!.. i've been doing my Long Lab report which is due on the 11th; my lab report is on x rays.. omg, when i first sat down to write this up i wanted to die.... when you doing the investigation in the lab you have no idea what and why your doing this crap, cos u just want to get the results and get out of there asap!.. so i was reading my write up.. O_O??.... wahhh... so yes i had to read up on it and now i know a ton about x rays and if a knew more about electronics i could probably build an x ray machine. i've done the majority of my lab now... 9 pages of rambling crap about energy levels and electrons! ^_^~~... i really wanna finish this soon so i can get on with proper revision!!.. man! i hope one of my exams has a massive question on X rays!!... but its unlikely... cos we never really talked about in my other modules... apart from cosmos where x rays are used to look at stars and galaxies....
anyway!
hope u all had a good Christmas and new year!.. i spent both Christmas and new years playing guitar hero/band hero... im getting better on the drums! ^_^~~.. get to see the whole family again ^_^.... yeys! and FOOOOOOOOOOD!! i swear literally... my family practically "celebrates" Christmas for 3 days!! we have the Christmas party at my aunts house.... boxing day the kids go out to the movies (this year was sherlock holmes) and meet up at my aunts house again to eat left overs... and the next day is to go to my house to eat and drink some more. =P...
well.. its 2010 now.... 2009..was a ok-ish year.. could've been better; i hope 2010 is going to be a better one!.. hmm.. anyone know what this decade is called now... what do we have after the noughties??..the teenies?..
I dont do new years resolutions, mainly cos i forgot them after a week but i feel like i should have a few this year, well there more of changes that need to happen...
1) Write up notes after my lectures... my notes last semester are appalling, dreading having to revise from them
2) Waste less time
3) Read more
4) Be more careful with money.. gonna try to limit my spendings to £50 a week~~
*sigh* was looking at my timetable for the coming semester... i dont like it as much as last semester... mondays are practically the same!! suicidal labs at the end of every monday. luckily i dont have computer lab on tuesdays anymore!! omg.. i wanted to kill myself near the end of last semester in computer lab! wednesdays i practically spend the whole day with my personal tutor, Dr Hargrave.. he teaches the electricity and magnetism module. So Wednesday morning we have a E&M lecture then have out tutorials with our personal tutor then a E&M exercise class after! Im not really complaining, he's a nice guy! and its useful that he's teaching one of my modules, gets more help =P. He's was actually part of the Herschel space telescope program, helped to build it and stuff. If u dont know.. Herschel is the largest space telescope out there in space, currently; it was launched in May 2009. Basically its like the Hubble space telescope, but instead of looking at visible light it looks at infra red light instead.
ANYWAY!
